The super capacitor supply product family (SCAP) provides the essential infrastructure for an uninterruptible system, which is increasingly important in smart grids. The device is designed to supply energy to the system for at least 3 minutes (with a load of 3.5 Watts per minute) during an outage in systems powered by direct current (DC). Thanks to the charge limiter at the device’s input, it can be charged with a fixed 0.20 A charge current.
SCAP serves as a short-term power supply for systems such as communication devices. It provides energy to these devices for the necessary time to transmit signals to the main monitoring center during power outages.
